Can you believe it? I have run in two half marathons in 4 weeks! I am so proud of myself for setting these goals and following through with my training.
This race was in my backyard and parts of the course were run on roads I run on for my training. It was a small marathon with only 1000 runners. I liked that it was smaller because I felt like I wasn't trying to run around people all the time like in my last race. Although, the energy level just wasn't there. In my last race there were several people along the course cheering you on and that is so awesome. I didn't realize how much that kept me going.
I don't have my official time yet but I came in around 2:16. The clock says 3:16 but that is because the full marathon started an hour earlier. I should get my official chip time later today. I was hoping to finish in 2:10 but I am happy to have beat my time on the R&R by almost 5 minutes.
